when? where? who? why?
In today’s society, consumers keep an eye on the quality of the product they buy. With the advent of the prevention of pollution, more and more buyers are willing to do the right thing when they acquire a lasting good. In fact, a lot of campaigns play their part in today’s market to make people aware of their environmental impact. Following last year governmental decisions considering the lockdown and the curfew, the amount of online orders has increased a lot. The actual crisis, which is heightening environmental awareness, has shown that people were not cautious enough about their environmental impact throughout their purchases. In this context, Enviscore would be greatly welcomed on the market to decipher the environmental cost of each product.
This project should first take place in France, because it is where the launchers come from. However, we would like to extend it to European Union countries which would be an asset: they would provide economical partnerships and ease the openness of the project to all the developed countries whose markets are mainly responsible for pollution.
As a consequence, it would consider the households of the countries quoted before as well as the big firms that would potentially give a description of their products. This project would raise awareness for both consumers and firms.
In fact, if we often wish to consume locally in order to tackle the pollution resulting from the transport of products, we do not necessarily know which products are local. And even among products labelled local, some may be made from raw materials coming from far away.
for whom?
We want to target people of all generations who have a particular sensitivity for the environment and wish to take concrete actions in their daily purchases (or not) to help the environment. This application is aimed at all those who want to limit the impact they have on pollution due to the transport of products.
We particularly address the X generation and the following ones. In fact, the previous generations seem less inclined to use applications on their smartphones.
We are particularly targeting people from well-off backgrounds because, after having scanned a product with a bad environmental score, they can more easily choose to invest a little more in their purchase to get a better environmental score. Indeed, this has less impact on their budget than on the budget of less affluent people who would tend to limit their spending and choose cheap products, regardless of the environmental score.
what? how?
Our application was designed in order to raise consumer awareness of their indirect impact on the environment. It allows them to see how good the product is, by giving it a global grade thanks to several criteria such as the distance covered by the product. Our aim is to bring people together to consume locally and to be more responsible.
It generates an environmental score for every single product of your everyday life and offers you the opportunity to reduce your ecological impact by offering you a comparison between brands. It covers differents kinds of products such as food, clothes, cosmetics, ... and even household appliances or furniture !
The application works thanks to the contribution of every user : each scanned product will contribute to the constitution of a database of reference products, allowing a comparison all the more precise as the number of users !
Globally, this application will allow you to make a conscious choice between the same two products according to many environmental criteria, allowing you at your scale to reduce the ecological impact of goods consumption.

It is generally acknowledged that nowadays the air quality is getting worse than ever. Indeed, this issue is becoming a future problem mainly when you think about your health. The project wants to live in our time where air pollution is becoming a danger, as we see it with people wearing masks in big cities such as in China or Japan.
The indoor pollution sensor is made for houses but also flats near or inside great cities. As a matter of fact, citizens should take advantage of this sensor to watch their health. We deeply believe that air pollution will cause big damages if we do not act towards preventing people from breathing unclean air.
for whom?
We want to target people of all age groups who are interested in reducing their indoor air pollution. We particularly aim at the X generation and the following ones. In fact, the previous generations seem less inclined to use applications on their smartphones.
We especially target people with a low budget. The application would allow them to become aware of the quality of their air and improve it by opening their windows without having to use for example an air purifier which would have cost them much more. We also target those who are dedicated to the environment, and who want to avoid owning an air purifier which has a strong impact on the environment.
This application could also be very valuable for eco-responsible companies, wishing in parallel to maximize the well-being of their employees.
what? how?
Our indoor pollution sensor offers you a complete description of the air quality in your home. This is not an air purifier, it only analyzes but doesn’t balance air properties.
It allows you to reduce the indoor pollution by noticing you when levels aren’t normal. A notification will appear on your phone to warn you : then, you will open your windows to change air.
In addition, our sensor offers you valuable recommendations regarding air quality. It will give you some tips to keep your air unpolluted : for instance, if the analysis shows that the air is too wet, the application will advise you to open the window or to slightly change your consumption habits, such as showers that are too long for instance.
